So I need your help: After seven years of garden variety family wear and tear, our red dining chairs are just about on their last legs. I get so many comments about them on this blog that I thought you might have some strong opinions about what the next ones should be. Weโre not exactly sure what we want yet, but we know we want them to be red, comfortable, on the modern sideโฆand available in knock-off form (!). Based on this criteria, weโve narrowed it down to the nine you see above. Vote for your favorite in the comment field below and Iโll choose one reader at random to receive a copy of bothย Dinner: A Love Story and, almost hot off the presses:ย Dinner: The Playbook. (When I hit the bigtime, maybe then Iโll be able to offer a full dining set as the giveaway โ and maybe not even the knock-offs.) Your choices:
1. Tolix Chair 2. Globus Chair 3. Salt Chair 4. Thonet Vienna Chair 5. Wishbone Chair 6. Thonet Era Chair 7. Navy Chair 8. Saarinen Tulip Chair 9. Eames Molded Chair.ย
Contest ends Thursday, 8/21 at noon ET. Good luck! UPDATE: The winner (Rosie: #384) has been notified. Thanks for playing everyone!
RIP my beautiful red chairs that are no longer available on the interweb (as far as I can tell).

#5!
Ooo, I say wishbone chair! Hurray for red chairs!
#5!
I vote for 3โฆif only because Iโve been eyeing the Salt chair for awhile. I want them for my own dining table! I think they would look good with your set up, too.
#5
I have to go with #9 โ the Eames!
LOVE #5โฆlooks the most comfortable too so to encourage family discussions (โฆ.maybe?) ๐
I like #1 the best, but it doesnโt look very comfortable. 2, 3, 4 and 6 seem to have VERY narrow legs and I wonder how theyโd hold up over time. So, I am leaning toward #5 โ wider, more comfy looking.
Number 5!
Definitely number 5โthose looks inviting and comfortable!
I like #3 the best!
Thereโs a lot of salt chair love here, but I lean toward 2 (Angelaโs review was quite glowing ), 1, 8. Whatever you choose, I hope itโs comfortable!
I like 4. 6 also has nice lines but I worry a little one would not have enough back support.
I cannot deny my taste โ #3. I think they would be great new chairs for your dining room. Classic, comfortable and red!
#3 or #9
love them both!
#3 the Salt chair is my favorite! Such a classic shape!
#9
#3 โ salt ๐
#7. You can find these made of recycled plastic and so easy to clean!
Love 1 and 5. Really though as long as itโs red- you are on the right track! Your original chairs inspired me to put red stools in my kitchen
I like #7! Different without being bizarre.
2 or 9. Theyโve got to be comfy too.
#3 Salt chair
Love #8 but with young kiddos gotta forgo anything with fabric! So #5 it is!
Oopsโฆ.meant three ๐
